About the book

After the sad and distressing tragedy of Ashura, the Umayyad caliphs took the leadership of the Islamic Ummah into their own hands and carried out severe oppression and dictatorship and shed excessive unjust blood, and by introducing false and so-called things into Islamic education and teachings, they dealt a heavy blow to the roots of Islam. Imam Sajjad (peace be upon him) retreated to a corner in such a situation, distraught and distressed. No one could go to him. He was also under the strong control of the judges and could not go out among the people and declare their evil duties.

Desperate, he chose the path of prayer, supplication, and raz-niyaz, and through them, he taught them the true piety of religion by declaring the teachings of the Qur'an and Islamic knowledge, the path followed by the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.), and explained to them their duties in purifying the soul and acquiring good morals. .

This style was the only way invented by the Imam that those who attacked him would never have thought of it. Thanks to him, the Imam began to spread Islamic instructions and knowledge without giving excuses to the enemy. It was for this purpose that he taught the people many prayers and supplications. Some of them were collected in a book called Sahifeyi-Sajjadiyyah (pages belonging to Imam Sajjad (peace be upon him)) and called Ali-Muhammad's Psalms. This book reveals the highest goals of Hanif religion (Islam), the most accurate secrets of Tawheed and Prophethood, and the most authentic way of learning Islamic morals and etiquette rules with its purpose and style and in the highest word style of Arabic literature.
